UA bombards Kent State for a 5-0 win in Tempe
TEMPE — Arizona Soccer defeated Kent State in overwhelming fashion on Thursday, posting a 5-0 victory. The score marks the most Wildcat goals in a match in the Becca Moros era and is the most by an Arizona team since 2019.
Gianna Christiansen, Megan Chelf, Cameron Valladares, Nicole Dallin and Desiree Foster scored goals for Arizona to support a clean sheet by goalkeeper Hope Hisey.
Hisey gave way to Hannah Mitchell in second half ending a consecutive minutes streak that stretched back to the 2021 season.
The Wildcats return to action Sunday, Sept. 2 in Tempe for their second game of the Sun Devil Classic. UA will play Boise State at 1 p.m.
