NCAAVB: Wildcats push 7th ranked Wazzu to five sets before falling

TUCSON — No. 7 Washington State stretched their match winning streak to 11 in a row with a five set (25-23, 25-27, 25-22, 18-25, 6-15) win Sunday over the Wildcats at McKale Center.

Pia Timmer led the Cougars (12-1, 2-0) with 17 kills while hitting .333.

Sophomore transfer Jordan Wilson paced UA recording a career-high 22 kills. Sofia Maldonado Diaz followed with 18.

Arizona (5-8, 0-2) heads to the Bay Area to take on California on Friday, September 29 at 7 p.m. Tucson time.
