PALO ALTO — Arizona rallied from a nine-point deficit in the final four minutes Friday night to beat No. 3 Stanford 68-61 in a Pac-12 women’s basketball game at Maples Pavillion.
Jada Williams scored a career-high 23 points, 14 down the stretch to allow the Wildcats to come back and take down a 1st place Cardinal team that was playing without star forward Cameron Brink due to illness.
Arizona (15-12, 7-8) finished the game on a 19-3 run. The Wildcats were missing leading scorer Kailyn Gilbert, who did not make the trip to the Bay Area. It’s UA’s 1st victory in Palo Alto over the Cardinal since 2001.
