TUCSON — JuJu Watkins fouled out in regulation Thursday night but No. 7 USC still rallied from 10 down in the fourth quarter to force overtime at McKale Center and eventually beat Arizona 95-93 in a second extra session.
Rayah Marshall led the way for the Women of Troy (22-5, 12-5) with 26 points. Watkins left the game with 20. Kayla Padilla knocked down 5 three-point shots including big ones to tie the game in regulation and to untie the contest in the second overtime. She finished with 15.
Helena Pueyo had 21 points for the Wildcats (16-13, 8-9). She also grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 7 assists.
Skylar Jones scored 19 for UA. Isis Beh added 16, Jada Williams had 14 and Courtney Blakely finished with 11.
Arizona closes out the regular season on Saturday night against 8th ranked UCLA in a 6 p.m. tipoff at McKale Center. You can hear the game right here on Wildcats Radio 1290.
