Wildcats head to L.A. for the Sweet 16
SALT LAKE CITY — No. 9 Arizona took every punch that Dayton delivered Saturday and answered back with jab after jab to hold off the Flyers 78-68 at the Delta Center and advance to the program’s 20th Sweet 16.
Caleb Love led the Wildcats (29-6) with 19 points and five assists. Pelle Larsson and Keshad Johnson both scored 13. Jaden Bradley has 12 off the bench.
UA matched the three-point shooting Flyers ultimately winning that battle eight makes to seven.
Dayton (25-8) star Daron Holmes II had 23 points.
Arizona will await their opponent for a game next Thursday at the Crypto.com Center in Los Angeles. The Wildcats will face either Clemson or Baylor.
