Sydney Harris scores 24 points in a 79-58 Iowa State win
TUCSON — Iowa State never trailed Saturday afternoon in a 79-58 Big 12 Women’s Basketball victory over Arizona in McKale Center.
Sydney Harris came off the bench for Cyclones to knocked down 5 three-point shots. She finished with 24 points as the ISU (12-6, 3-2) followed their Thursday win over Arizona State with a triumph over UA.
Iowa State sent in 10-plus 3-pointers for the second straight game and sixth time of the season,
The Cats were led by guard Jada Williams, who put up 17 points on 6-for-14 shooting in the paint. Lauryn Swann also had a powerful offensive performance for Arizona, contributing 9 points, including a half-court buzzer beater at the end of the first half that narrowed the Cyclones’ lead to single digits.
Arizona (11-7, 2-3) is headed on the road this coming weel, traveling to Manhattan, Kansas to face No.12-ranked Kansas State on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Tucson time (KTUC-AM 1400).

Arizona sophomore guard Sahnya Jah was not present Saturday for the contest. Head coach Adia Barnes indicated after the game that it was a “coach’s decision”.
