WOMEN: Short-handed Cats put up a fight before losing to No. 11 TCU

Skylar Jones scores career-high 30 in an 85-73 loss to the Horned Frogs

HIGHLIGHTS: No. 11 TCU 85, Arizona 73

TUCSON — Arizona fell to No. 11 TCU, 85-73, on Sunday, Feb. 16 in McKale Center.

Sedona Prince led the Horned Frogs (24-3, 12-2) with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Former Arizona Wildcats guard Madison Conner made her return to McKale Center and knocked down 4 three-point shots to finish with 18 on 7-of-10 made field goals.

Conner, from Chandler, was a reserve guard for UA during the 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons before transferring to the Texas school.

The Cats were led by an exceptional performance from Skylar Jones, who put up a career-high 30 points, the most scored by an individual player on the Wildcat roster since 2023. Two other Cats put up double-digit performances.

Arizona played without guards Jada Williams (ankle) and Mailien Rolf (concussion) due to injury.

Arizona (15-12, 6-8) will host BYU at McKale Center on Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
