LAS VEGAS — Arizona Women’s Basketball arrives at the final Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tourament in Las Vegas with uncertainty as it pertains to what lies ahead for them in the post-season.

The Wildcats (16-14, 8-10) have been to the NCAA Tournament three years in a row with wins every year and advancing to the championship game in 2021.

ESPN bracketologist Charlie Creme though currently has UA as one it’s 1st eight teams on the outside looking in for this year’s event.

However Her Hoops Stats has Arizona as one of it’s last four teams in.

The Wildcats are definitely on the proverbial bubble for a spot on the women’s side of March Madness.

UA stunned women’s college basketball two weeks ago with an upset victory at No. 3 Stanford. The Cardinal played without Pac-12 Player of the Year Cameron Brink but still it was the Wildcats 1st victory in Palo Alto in 21 years.

The Wildcats though couldn’t hang on to 10-point home lead last week against No. 7 USC and lost in double-overtime. A victory over the Women of Troy would have almost assured Arizona of a spot in the NCAA Tournament

UA’s current NET ranking is a favorable 36. A win over Washington (NET-41) on Wednesday night would be a huge positive but a victory this time around in the Pac-12 Quarterfinals against USC (NET-13) could be the clincher for the Wildcats to get an NCAA bid.

The Huskies (16-13, 6-12) enter as the No. 10 seed for the Pac-12 Tournament. UA and UW split their two regular season meetings. The Huskies won a tight 62-60 affair in Seattle while the Wildcats took a triple-overtime contest in Tucson.

Tipoff tonight against the Huskies is 7 p.m. Coverage with Derrick Palmer from the Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas begins at 6:45.

D.K. on the Sports Tip will run an extended show today from 3-6:45 p.m. leading into to Arizona’s 1st round matchup against UW.
