UA battles back from 13-0 down but falls in the end

HIGHLIGHTS: No. 5 USC 65, Arizona 62

LAS VEGAS — Pac-12 Freshman of the Year JuJu Watkins scored 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to lead No. 5 Southern California to a 65-62 win over Arizona in the quarterfinals of Pac-12 Tournament at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The Wildcats (17-14) rallied from a 13-0 deficit to start the game and took the lead in the 3rd quarter on a layup by Courtney Blakely.

UA led by as many as four before the Women of Troy went on 12-2 run to retake control of the game. Kayla Davis had six points during the stretch.

Rayah Marshall had 15 points and 15 rebounds for USC (24-5). The Women of Troy advance to the Pac-12 semifinals on Friday where they will face rival UCLA.

Arizona will have to wait to find out of their 17 wins is good enough for a 4th straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Helena Pueyo had 19 points, 6 assists and 6 steals for the Wildcats. She passed Dee Dee Wheeler for the most steals (305) in program history.

Breya Cunningham and Skylar Jones both scored 14.
