Men’s Tennis Closes Out Wildcat Invite, Battle in the Bay

The Wildcats went undefeated in doubles this winning each of the three draws

TUCSON – Arizona closed out the Wildcat Invitational and Battle in the Bay tournament this afternoon after a weekend of competition.

The Wildcats went undefeated in doubles this weekend, winning each of the three draws. First to win Sunday was Cole Stelse and Iñaki Cabrera-Bello on court two, with a 6-0 shutout over Kakhniuk/Tallakson of UNM. Next up was freshmen Matthias Kask and Santiago Padilla-Cote on court three with a 6-3 win over Fairclough/Ampaw of Gonzaga. Wrapping doubles for the Cats was freshman Filip Gustafsson and sophomore Alexander Rozin, who won their draw in a 7-6(5) breaker against Torres/Pracher of NAU.

Coming up next for the Wildcats is the ITA All-American Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event begins on Saturday, September 21 and runs for a week.
