Wildcats dominate for 10th consecutive win.
TUCSON — Jaelyn Hodge and Carlie Cisneros led Arizona with 17 kills and 10 kills, respectively. Hodge hit a season-high .485 and the team finished the match with a .361 clip.
Arizona won the first set, 25-19. Hodge came out strong with eight kills to push the Wildcats to the win in the opening set. Kiari Robey had two blocks to help the defense keep the Bison at bay.
The Wildcats jumped to an early lead but allowed the Bison to pull within one point before closing out the match on a 5-0 run.
The Wildcats won the second set, 25-20, to take a 2-0 lead. Arizona’s offense hit .447 behind Hodge’s nine kills and .529 clip. Cisneros contributed four kills and Alayna Johnson had three kills. Despite not recording a block in the set, the Arizona defense held NDSU to a .189 hitting percentage.
Arizona won the third set, 25-22, to secure the sweep. Cisneros led the Cats with five kills while Robey and Wilson had three kills each. The Wildcats’ offense was efficient with a .371 hitting percentage and the defense held the Bison to a .185 clip.
The Cats will close out the non-conference portion of their schedule and the Wildcat Classic on Saturday, September 21 against Southern Utah. The match is set to begin at 12 p.m. MST in McKale Center.
