Two-time major winner Brittany Lincicome announced Friday that this will be her final season playing a full schedule on the LPGA Tour.

Lincicome, 39, joined the tour in 2005 and has won eight events, including the Chevron Championship when it was known as the Kraft Nabisco Championship in 2009 and as the ANA Inspiration in 2015.

Lincicome’s final event of her 20th and final full campaign will be at The Annika driven by Gainbridge starting Nov. 14 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla. The St. Petersburg, Fla., native accepted a sponsor’s exemption into the event.

“I’ve had a tremendous career on and off the golf course on the LPGA Tour, and I’m incredibly honored and humbled to have the opportunity to finish my final full-time season where everything started for me here in the Tampa Bay region,” Lincicome said in a news release.

In 400 career starts on the LPGA Tour, Lincicome recorded 151 top-25 finishes and 66 top-10 showings while earning nearly $10 million. Her most recent victory was at the Bahamas LPGA Classic in 2018.

Lincicome, who also played on six U.S. Solheim Cup teams, wants to spend more time with her two young daughters. She told Golfweek that this isn’t a retirement announcement and that she intends to play in a handful of events each year.
